— Sunday Letter —
Sometimes, we forget that today carries the answers to yesterday’s prayers. This letter is a gentle nudge to pause, notice, and give thanks for the life you’re already living.
Dear Friend,
Lately, I’ve been thinking about how often we long for what’s ahead and forget to notice what’s right here. We often expect God’s answers to arrive with trumpets, grand gestures, and undeniable signs. But often than not, His faithfulness shows up quietly—in the steady rhythm of a new season, in the peace that replaces fear, or in the provision that feels almost ordinary until we remember how impossible it once seemed.
The job you once prayed for has become the routine of your mornings. The relationship you asked God to bring is now part of your daily norm. The stability you dreamed about quietly arrived without fireworks and simply unfolded into today. And yet, isn’t it humbling to realize that this very season is one of the “better days” we once cried out for?
We remember the struggle, the waiting, the whispered prayers at night. But when the answers finally come, they arrive so gently that we almost overlook them. The breakthrough we thought would never come becomes our daily bread. The burden that once felt unbearable is lifted, and we breathe easier, forgetting just how heavy it once was.
That’s why gratitude matters. It slows us down long enough to recognize: This is it. This is the answered prayer. This is the fruit of waiting. This is the life we once only hoped for.
But here’s something I’ve had to learn the hard way: don’t be so eager for God’s next blessing that you overlook the one you’re standing in. If all we do is look ahead, we risk missing the beauty of what He’s already carried us through.
Waiting can be slow and painful, but even there, God is at work.
So, if you find yourself in a season of waiting right now, don’t lose heart. Your whispered prayers are not wasted. They are held, remembered, and treasured by the One who bends near to listen. And when the change comes, let’s not rush past it in search of the next thing. Let’s pause. Let’s give Him glory. Let’s learn to be content in the now.
When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen.
Isaiah 60:22
Sometimes, the wait feels endless. We grow restless, wondering if God has forgotten us. But His timing is never delayed—every moment of waiting is woven with purpose. What feels like silence is often preparation for something greater than we imagined.
His mercies are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:23
We don’t always notice it, but the gift of waking up today is proof of His unfailing mercy. Every sunrise is a quiet reminder that His grace is steady, holding us together moment by moment.
So, today, take a moment to pause. Breathe. Notice the laughter of someone you love, the roof over your head, and the dreams slowly unfolding in His timing.
The season you are in right now is one you once prayed to see.
With gratitude,
Missy
A Guide on How to Live in Christ

Rejoice Always
Joy is not rooted in circumstances but in Him. It’s the steady assurance of His love, a joy that endures through both celebration and challenge. Rejoicing is an act of faith—choosing to trust God’s goodness even when life feels heavy.
Pray Continually
Prayer is a rhythm, not a ritual. It’s less about formality and more about carrying God’s presence into every moment. To pray continually is to live with open hands and open heart, aware that He is near and always listening.
Give Thanks
When joy and prayer meet, gratitude is born. Giving thanks doesn’t erase hardship, but it anchors us in trust—believing God is at work in every moment, even the painful ones. Gratitude declares He is still worthy of praise. It is not an afterthought, it’s the rhythm of a heart that trusts God is still working—even here, even now.
God’s Will
Joy, prayer, and gratitude are not duties to check off, but a way of living aligned with Christ, who embodied them perfectly. God’s will doesn’t weigh us down; it shapes our hearts to mirror His: joyful, prayerful, and thankful.
Something to Reflect On:
- What new mercy can you name from today?
- Where in your life do you need to rest in His timing instead of forcing your own?
- What is one thing, big or small, you can thank God for in your current season?
- How would it change your perspective if you whispered each day: “This is one of the days I once prayed for”?
